AAWE Scholars Award to Support Student Participation at CWE 2026

The CWE2026 Organizing Committee is pleased to share an important announcement from the American Association for Wind Engineering.

AAWE has launched the 2026 AAWE Scholars Award to support qualified graduate students who will attend and present their research at the 8th International Symposium on Computational Wind Engineering, to be held June 7–11, 2026.

Award Overview

The award consists of a travel bursary of 550 USD (750 CAD), equivalent to the early bird registration fee. A total of ten (10) bursaries will be awarded following review by an AAWE-appointed committee.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Be an AAWE student member in good standing for 2026
  • Be the first author and present the paper as an oral presentation at CWE 2026
  • Submit a full paper by March 31, 2026, in accordance with symposium submission requirements
  • Present research related to wind engineering

Priority will be given to MS and PhD students. Postdoctoral applicants may be considered depending on the applicant pool.

Application Process

Applications must include:

  • A one-page cover letter signed by the advisor confirming authorship contribution and full-time graduate status
  • Confirmation of abstract acceptance for oral presentation
  • A copy of the full paper (accepted or under submission)
  • A one-page CV including full legal name and mailing address

“2026 AAWE Scholars Award to Attend CWE 2026 – Application”

Deadline: March 31, 2026
Award notifications will be issued in mid-April 2026.
